today i discovered that 45:33 is a good album to listen to when you are sitting in a sweltering, stuffy room answering emails and writing blog posts. i’m totally psyched! if only i could lose weight via frenetic typing. meanwhile i maintain my james murphy physique. disco.

here are a few tracks that i am loving today, along with 45:33, in all this heat. i don’t know if these tracks are meant to heat you up or cool you off - the thom yorke remix is disco, not so far from lcd soundsystem, and disco is always hot. and cool. the oh astro is like… ahhhhhhh i’m delirious from the heat and so my memories of hot chip and lionel richie are blending into one glorious union. and ‘big love’ is… big love. we all need big love in these heady times. pass me a cold facewasher please mommy
